, also known mononymously as Lautaro, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Inter Milan, whom he captains, and the Argentina national team. Widely regarded as one of the best forwards in the world, he is known for his goalscoring, positioning inside the box, and link-up play.
Martรญnez began his senior career with Argentine Primera Divisiรณn side Racing Club, before signing with Inter Milan in 2018 in a transfer worth โฌ22.7 million. With Inter, he has gone on to win two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italias, and reached the final of the UEFA Europa League in 2020 and the UEFA Champions League in 2023 and 2025. He also won the Serie A Most Valuable Player and finished as league top scorer in the 2023โ24 season. Martรญnez currently ranks as Inter Milan's sixth-highest all-time top goalscorer.
Martรญnez first represented Argentina at youth level, playing in both the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2017 South American U-20 Championship. He made his senior international debut in 2018 and has won the 2021 Copa Amรฉrica, 2022 FIFA World Cup, and 2024 Copa Amรฉrica, winning the Golden Boot as top scorer of the latter and scoring the winner in the final.
