, also known as Neymar Júnior or simply Neymar, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a left winger, attacking midfielder or forward for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Santos, which he captains, and the Brazil national team. Often cited as an influence for an emerging generation of footballers, Neymar is considered one of the greatest players of all time, being known for his explosive speed, trickery, dribbling, technical ability, playmaking, and finishing. He is Brazil's all-time top goalscorer and is the tied all-time top assist provider in the history of international football, with 58 assists for Brazil.

Neymar made his professional debut with Santos in 2009. In 2011, he was awarded the league's Best Player and won the FIFA Puskás Award for a solo effort in the league. In the same year, he helped Santos win their first Copa Libertadores in nearly 50 years. In 2013, at 21 years old, Barcelona signed him for €86 million. Neymar became part of a dominant attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, dubbed MSN, which was instrumental to winning the continental treble of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League in the trio's first season; he was the joint-top goalscorer of the Champions League campaign and top goalscorer of the Copa del Rey. In his final season, he was pivotal in the historic La Remontada (The Comeback), scoring twice and assisting once. At Barcelona, Neymar cemented himself as amongst the best players of his generation, being named in the FIFA FIFPro World11 twice and making the podium for the FIFA Ballon d'Or in 2015 and 2017. However, he desired to be the sole star player and to have more autonomy.

In August 2017, Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain, with his release clause of €222 million being triggered to make him the most expensive player ever. Injuries largely hampered his career in Paris; despite this, he evolved into a complete playmaker and largely contributed to PSG's continuation of Ligue 1 title dominance, winning five titles and being named the Player of the Year in his debut season. In the Champions League, he was integral to PSG reaching its first final in 2020, where they lost narrowly to Bayern Munich, and was subsequently named in the UEFA Team of the Year for the second time in his career. Neymar attained eight additional titles with PSG and became one of the club's all-time top goal scorers. In 2023, PSG sold him to Saudi club Al Hilal, where he signed a lucrative deal reportedly worth up to €150 million per year, marking the end of his time in European football. He rarely played due to a year-long ACL injury and returned to his boyhood club Santos in January 2025.

At 18, Neymar debuted for Brazil and has since become the nation's second-most-capped player, only trailing Cafu. He is the nation's all-time top goalscorer, with 79 goals in 128 matches. He won the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, winning the Golden Ball. In the 2014 FIFA World Cup, he was named in the Dream Team. He captained Brazil to their first Olympic gold medal in men's football in the 2016 Summer Olympics having already won a silver medal at the 2012 edition. He appeared in the 2018 World Cup, and three years later helped Brazil finish runner-up to Argentina in the 2021 Copa América, where he was jointly awarded Best Player and named in the Team of the Tournament. In the 2022 World Cup, partly owing to his top form for PSG, Brazil were widely considered favourites to win the tournament; they ultimately suffered a shock quarter-final exit. He has won a record six Samba Gold awards.
