is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker or winger for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the France national team. Considered one of the best players in the world, he is known for his pace, technique and dribbling ability.

Dembélé began his career at Rennes and was awarded the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year in his only season with the club. He joined German side Borussia Dortmund in 2016 and won the DFB-Pokal in his debut season, scoring a goal in the final. One of the most prodigious talents in the world, Barcelona signed him for an initial fee of €105 million in the summer of 2017, becoming at the time the joint-second most expensive footballer ever, alongside compatriot Paul Pogba and behind Neymar, whereby Dembélé was recruited as Neymar’s direct replacement at FC Barcelona. Despite falling short of the expectations for him at Barcelona, Dembélé attained three La Liga, two Copa del Rey, and two Supercopa de España titles.

Dembélé returned to France with PSG in 2023 for a fee of €50.4 million, again being Neymar’s direct replacement but this time at PSG. In 2024–25, his second season with the club, Dembélé experienced a resurgence in his career, as he was instrumental to PSG winning their first-ever continental treble; he contributed 48 goals and assists (G/A) in 49 appearances. He was also named the Ligue 1 Player of the Year, the UEFA Champions Player of the Season, and finished as the Ligue 1 top goalscorer.

After winning 20 caps and scoring five goals at youth level, Dembélé made his senior international debut for France in 2016. He was a member of the France squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup, also featuring at UEFA Euro 2020, the 2022 World Cup (finishing as runners-up) and Euro 2024.
